Haworth Christmas 2020

Haworth Christmas 2020

The Magic Of A Haworth Christmas
A Haworth Christmas is always a magical time for children and families with Main Street beautifully decorated by residents and local business owners. The famous cobbled street is lit by twinkling fairy lights and pretty shop windows to excite and create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere.

As well as shops, cafes and pubs, families can ride the Elf Express steam train to see Santa on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. For more information and booking details, please visit the Haworth Events page.

In 2020, with shops, cafes and pubs having to close throughout the year due to government restrictions, it’s been even more important to bring a little cheer to visitors and the people of Haworth, plus it’s been essential to support our local, independent businesses who have worked so hard to make their premises safe for everyone.

So please do visit Haworth to escape the commercialism of the towns and cities and enjoy a more ‘old-world’ Christmas shopping experience in our beautiful Yorkshire village.

Haworth Christmas 2020 Videos
On my evening walk, I ask people to buy local if they can and support our retailers who were about to re-open their shops. At the time, the cafes, restaurants and pubs were closed due to government restrictions. Visitors are also asked to support retailers by visiting our list of Haworth Shops which includes information and web links to their websites.  The second video was taken showing Haworth Moor in the snow during December 2020.

Haworth Christmas 2021
For 2021, let’s hope that a Haworth Christmas will again be able to return to the full splendour of years gone past with every December weekend hosting bands, choirs, carol singers and Father Christmas for everyone to enjoy! Please join the mailing list on our home page to stay in touch.

A Haworth Christmas in the snow!

Early December brought a beautiful snowy scene to Haworth and this video shows Bronte Waterfall and Haworth Moor in the snow.  The video also highlights that prints and other products have now been added to the shop on the website for Christmas gifts.
