Haworth Christmas Events 2020

Haworth has been welcoming visitors ever since the world first discovered the Bronte sisters.

This is the page to find all Haworth events and festivals – so do bookmark it and subscribe. I try to send out weekly or fortnightly emails to keep you up to date!

We often have new independent businesses opening for you to enjoy, as well as the regular Bronte Parsonage events and steam train rides that Haworth is so well known for.

Haworth walks guided tour

Guided Walk Around Old Haworth

Walks begin at the church steps and tell the story of the Bronte family seen through the eyes of John Brown, close friend of Branwell Bronte.

The walk highlights many of the buildings frequented by the Brontes, their use and slowly makes its way along the cobbled streets, the graveyard and down Main Street, outlining the context of their writings and what may have inspired their great novels and poems.

The walk ends at the ducking pond, famous for deciding the fate of women who were accused of witchcraft, similar to the trials of the nearby Pendle Hill.
